oil on paper, 11 x 15 inches, 2003 Collection of Vince Piazza
Once again I returned to paint on the cliffs over Cape Cod's Pilgrim Lake. I was attracted to the thin
strip of land carrying Route 6 from Truro toward Provincetown covered in summer cottages. The reddish brown
tower in the distance is the famous Pilgrim Tower that is the primary landmark in the heart of Provincetown.
I loved the difference in color between the ocean water of the bay on the left and the lake water on
the right, which varies in texture and color due to the differences in depth, activity and salinity.
