While visiting the British Museum in London, I came across this skull of an Egyptian child of the 22nd dynasty (945-716 BCE) who suffered from osteogenesis imperfecta (a.k.a., “brittle bone syndrome”). I found this to be a remarkable example of disease in the ancient world.
