2nd state: sepia ink with washes of brown and blue ink on paper, 6 x 4 inches, 2013
The earlier (top) and final (bottom) version of the drawing appears above. The first state was drawn on site from the object itself. When I returned home, and while the visual impression was still strong in my memory, I began to lay in washes of diluted ink to further bring out the form.
