For the last several years, Kate and I have spent a few weeks on the outer tip of Cape Cod. Generally, these trips are an
occasion for Kate to do some landscape painting and for me to soak up some sun, drink beer and eat clam chowder. Every so often I manage to
rouse myself into doing something artistic while I'm there.
This woodcut started as a drawing in my sketchbook, executed during the course of an afternoon spent in
the dunes of Province Lands — a stretch of the Cape Cod National Seashore preserve located between
Truro and Provincetown.
This print was created for one of the recent 'bundles' of the Wood Engraver's Network.
