I painted this shortly after sun up on a bright but misty morning in early October. To the right, outside of the painting, is the river that winds
toward the Pamet Harbor. I was interested in the dark areas in the trees on the other side of the marsh
and the mistiness that occurs where the trees meet the edge of the marsh.
I returned to this spot that same day at sun down and did the pastel drawing Pamet Marsh No. 3.
