This is a view overlooking Pilgrim Heights and its kettle ponds in the Cape Cod National Seashore. The Atlantic Ocean is visible in the distance. This was high summer, but the day was overcast and bitterly cold (for August, at least).

Two years later, I returned to this spot to create an autumn version of the scene.
