I've had this weird little plastic wind-up creature since I was a kid. It originally spat sparks as it wobbled across a table top, but the striker no longer flares up as effectively as it once did. I guess it was meant to be a toy Godzilla, but it looks much more like the classic 'creature' in the old "Black Lagoon" movies.

This little fellow had been sitting on a shelf in the dining room for quite some time, when I hit upon the idea for a possible print. I pulled out my sketchbook and dashed out this quick sketch, which later became the source for not one, but two new prints: an etching and a woodcut (both in progress as of this writing).
