Hallway oil on paper, 9.5 x 6.5 inches, 2003 Collection of Barbara Mason This is a view from the doorway of my studio looking down the hall toward the bathroom and the bedroom at the back of the house. I was drawn to the arrangement of warm light and cool dark masses, especially the way in which the late afternoon sun creates the reflected brightness from the bathroom door at left and the bedside lamp reflects off the curved edge of the wall in the hallway.
